I'm Maz and I like to do creative stuff.

I think that rest is resistance and that stories are everything.

I write things and some of them get published elsewhere and some things are more personal and I post them here. This is very much a personal website, built in the spirit of the indie web.

I like my Internet to be human sized and human focused, so I tend to steer clear of much of the Internet nowadays; no mainstream social media, no generative LLM bots, no massive media news.

I still use RSS, IRC and XMPP. I'm starting to use Mastodon and I enjoy being a part of the community at omg.lol The Status log over there is a part of omg.lol too.

I'm a great believer in seasonality; I do think that much about us as humans and the things we make go through the ebb and flow of seasons and I imagine this site is one of them! Right now it is in the flush of spring, but times of autumn and winter and scant updating will likely come. Spring always follows winter again, so I am happy to follow the rhythm.
